I LOVE WHAT I DO!

I’m Chuck Domitrovich. I live and work in New York’s beautiful Hudson Valley with my wife and business partner, Corinne, and our dog Emma. I’ve been creating and selling jewelry for over twenty years.

I stumbled into metalsmithing while attending the University of Washington. While attempting to find an art class to fill a hole in my schedule, the only course that fit was An Introduction To Jewelry Making. With no knowledge of or interest in jewelry, I was skeptical. But I signed up, and I’ve never looked back. I found I loved working with traditional jewelers’ tools and materials. I enjoyed the intricate scale of the work. Metal was the perfect medium for my skill set: curiosity, patience, and attention to detail.

My style often involves mixed metals and moving parts. In addition to my unique, handmade wedding bands and engagement rings, I like to create art pieces that are fun and unexpected. I enjoy the mechanics of jewelry and the challenge of making intricate pieces that require planning, forethought, and experimentation. I am proud to say that my work can be found in the collections of several prestigious institutions, including the Swiss National Museum and the Renwick Gallery of the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

All of the work in my shop is mine, made from my own designs. Any components I use were designed by me and are made from prototypes that I have created myself, by hand, from metal, using traditional jewelry making techniques.
